We are on the hunt for a few new locations for photo shoots, and would love your help! If you're on the Sunshine Coast and can offer us the use of an industrial style wall (think exposed brick, shipping container, concrete etc), we need to talk. Ok, fellow vintage fabric freaks - it is time to vote! We have started a new little Facebook project - every month we will be posting a few funky vintage fabric pics, you vote for your fave, we'll buy it, then we will auction off the resulting retro lamp shade! Fun! We will aim to offer a variety of gorgeous fabrics - atomic, barkcloth, psychedelic, florals, so keep watching. Got any friends with a vintage fetish? Share it with them - the more the merrier! This month's fabric were: a vivid blue and purple fish scale, a pretty pastel scene of people with umbrellas, and a funky barkcloth in green and brown. The barkcloth started out strong, but in the end the clear winner was the Blue and Purple Fish Scale - hard to resist those divine colours. I love my pair of pink plastic flamingos that peer over the tops of my pot plants at home, and now they will have some company! We have just ordered some of this lovely pale blue flamingo fabric. Another milestone for Seven Dandelions... we have finally made the move from working at home, into our own little space in lovely Sunshine Beach. You can now find us tucked up behind the shops in a renovated garage. Our neighbours include friends Lucy and Damo at Mooshka (our favourite retro haunt for coffee and eats), and Kat, from The Cat and Canary (gorgeous vintage wares). Still surrounded by boxes of fabric, but will have it sorted soon. (And I can safely say it is waterproof - absolute downpour outside, but I'm cosy and dry!) Looking forward to getting things shipshape and receiving our first visitors!! Will keep you posted...
