Loving the joyful, kaleidescopic mish-mash of bright colours and exotic patterns in this Sydney home (Collector's Edition - Vogue Living Nov/Dec 11). Perfect proof that it pays to be bold - there is no need to have all your interiors ultra-matching and co-ordinated. Get creative, be adventurous, and mix things up! (Great vintage lampbase too!)

New Seven Dandelions Studio!

Kel and I are thrilled to have moved into our beautiful new studio, nestled among the trees in leafy Noosaville. Our lovely new work space means we will finally have all our bits and pieces in the one place, and will be be much better equipped to entertain clients who make appointments to come by and check out our lampshades. We have been busy unpacking boxes and sorting through the endless metres of fabric we have accumulated (what could be more appealing, though, than stacks of gorgeous, colourful fabrics, now nicely accessible in their new home in Kel's vintage dresser?) We have been trying to decide on a decorating theme, although we both secretly know that if I am not controlled we will end up with a kaleidescope of colour, (eclectic is the nice word for it), as we have so many beautiful designs, and restraint was never my strong point... Give us a few days to get sorted, but after that, if you are interested in placing an order, and lucky enough to live in our idyllic little corner of the world, feel free to give us a bell, so we can organise a time for coffee and a chat!

Hello all,
This weekend sees us in Brisbane again for a special event market being held at South Bank in conjunction with the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Kel and I will be peddling our wares to fashionistas at South Bank on Sunday from 10 (really much earlier) - 5pm. Fingers crossed for weather like last market, which was idyllic (ignoring the few black clouds that threatened us for a while). We are looking forward to seeing how the crowd differs from our regular Young Designers Market clientele. And after we blitzed it last market, we have been busy making some new stock, including some gorgeous pairs of bedside lamps, another stunning Words of Cloth shade, graffiti shades, and some dramatic, really big pendants. Usual story, parking below, nice coffee and eats, sunshine (we hope), grass, beats, and some fabulous shopping... Hope to see you there. Cheers, Jenny

Head to the Young Designers Market Facebook page, and you can check out the feature interview they recently posted on us, along with a bunch of our photos. A big thank you for the exposure - we don't know if that was what did the trick, but whatever the reason, we had a record-breaking day on Sunday! After a slow start, we ended up selling heaps of our brand new stock, including our gorgeous one-off elephant shade, which created quite a stir. (I will put up a photo of it shortly.) The sun shone (apart from a a few threatening clouds that kept us on our toes for a while), we scored a double stall as a nice surprise, received some amazing feedback from loyal customers, and discovered the most divine crumbed prawn sushi (our official new favourite market food)... Not to mention that record-breaking sales total...all in all, not a bad day.

The forecast is good, we have loads of lovely new stock, including some brand spanking new cushions and one of the Graffiti shades from the new range we are developing. Hope to see you bright and early - markets start at 10-4, but we are always set up earlier - a good time to beat the crowds. Look forward to seeing you there!

We just adore the soft, velvety texture of corduroy, so we've recently started teaming it with some of our favourite prints to create must-have cushions. For example, gorgeous Australian fabric, Blade, features a striking red and chocolate design on a chino drill, and looks divine backed with some lush chocolate wide wale corduroy - stylish, tactile and perfect for snuggling on the lounge with as the weather starts to cool. Throw in a Blade lampshade and you've created a whole new look for winter. So get busy re-vamping - your home deserves a new winter wardrobe too! With our cushions now permanently reduced to $39/each, there is no excuse not to inject some colour into your living space. Check our online store for other delectable decor treats.

We revel in the opportunity to flex our creative muscles, so if you are an interior designer looking for an edge, don't forget that we are happy to discuss exciting lighting design solutions to give you that important point of difference. We have completed some fantastic jobs for resorts, homes, shops and restaurants. Our gallery pages show a few of our prior projects, including two delightfully decadent feather-trimmed shades at Lustre Hair Studio, Noosaville, elegant clustered pendants in Yaroomba and some funky vintage paisley in Sunshine Beach cafe, Mooshka. We will soon be stocking the electrical fittings for larger pendants too, ie rod pendants, multi-arm, and chain and cable fittings, so you can purchase a complete lighting package. Apple Orchard - a favourite returns

Imagine our delight when we recently realized that we could once again get our hands on one of our favourite fabrics of yore, the delightful Apple Orchard. Again, limited quantities apply for this sweet, whimsical Japanese print featuring fresh green leaves, apples, birds and teensy catepillars on a lovely natural linen basecloth. Perfect for little people of either gender, and hard to resist for big people too, (if its' popularity last time is anything to go by!) Suitable for any size shades, right up to the big ones (ie 20in). Don’t miss out!
