About Us

Seven Dandelions specializes in designing and producing stylish, contemporary hand crafted lampshades, bases, cushions and wall art. Based on the Sunshine Coast, owners and designers Kelly Edington and Jenny Coleman have a passion for beautiful interiors, and a conviction that a simple lampshade is capable of transforming a living or working space, by adding drama, flair, and colour.

We aim to offer a complete range of lighting and interior solutions, including a wide selection of drum and pendant lampshades featuring a diverse array of designer fabrics; unique timber bases; electrical fittings and accessories; cushions and wall art. We also cater for custom orders, including large shades up to 1m wide; provide the option of supplying your own fabric; and sell gift certificates for distinctive wedding, birthday, baby shower or corporate gifts.

We like to keep things fresh, so our range of fabrics is updated periodically, and we are constantly working on our own exclusive designs. Our range includes Australian hand-screen prints, organic fabrics, Japanese designer prints, and childrens’ designs. We pride ourselves on our high standard of workmanship and the fact that all our products (excepting electricals) are lovingly handcrafted here on the Sunshine Coast. We have resisted the option of taking production offshore, preferring instead to cater to a discerning customer base that appreciates unique, superior quality, ethically produced and Australian-made products. We are passionate about supporting Australian talent and businesses, and stock a wide range of beautiful Australian designed and printed fabrics, and Australian-made cushion inserts.

Eco Efforts

We endeavour to embrace sustainable and eco-friendly practices wherever we can, for example: 

•  offering a selection of fabrics printed on organic hemp/cotton with eco-friendly dyes 
• using Australian-made cushion inserts filled with fibre made from recycled PET drink bottles, saving 70 bottles/1kg fibre from landfill 
• using locally sourced recycled timber for some of our timber bases 
• using swing tags made from upcycled cardboard packaging 
• recycling fabric scraps for a variety of projects 
• recycling packaging, office paper etc, 
• and we are always looking for ways to improve.
