Airmail Lamp Shade
This product is temporarily unavailable
Air Mail is a unique Seven Dandelions design, derived from a genuine 1950’s Air Mail letter. The black script is printed on fine white cotton, and is a popular choice for those seeking to add a stylish point of interest to a room, without the introduction of colour. Only available in limited sizes (13in x 30cm, 17in x 30cm and 20in x 30cm) due to the dimensions of the print. (Tripod Table Bases not included in price).
Seven Dandelions lamp shades:
- are a simple and stylish way to add colour and flair to your living and working spaces.
- can provide general, task or ambient light, depending on the size of shade and the strength of bulb used.
- are all individually handcrafted in Australia to the highest quality standards, using designer fabrics sourced from around the globe.
- are available for use on lamp bases or as ceiling pendants, in a range of versatile sizes.
Fitting Sizes There are two different fitting sizes available – standard or Euro. (The fitting is the flat ring that fits over the electrical component that holds the bulb.) The majority of lamps require standard fittings (3cm wide), however there are a small percentage of bases (including some IKEA models) that require a Euro fitting (4.1cm wide). Please check before you order, as we are unable to exchange due to customer error.
Sizes Our lamp shades are available in a range of versatile sizes, with something to suit every lamp base or aesthetic. There are no rules - you may prefer tall and thin, or lean towards wide and shallow, however, as a general guide, try and choose a shade that will balance out the shape of the base. For bedside lamps, we recommend an 8in or 11 in shade, unless you have a particularly spacious boudoir. For table lamps, 11in and 13in shades work well, while the 17in is our most popular size for standard lamps. The 20in shade is suitable for larger, heavier standard bases.
